Ingredients
- 2 packages Pepperidge Farm puff pastry, 2 sheets per package, thawed
- 2 packages dry brown gravy mix
- 1 family pack—2 ¼ pounds—Zummo boudin
- 1 bunch green onions, chopped, white and green parts
- 1 pound white mushrooms, roughly chopped
- ½ stick butter
- 1 heaping tablespoon Better than Bouillon
- 3-4 tablespoons flour
Instructions
- Saute mushrooms in about ½ stick butter, sprinkle with dry brown gravy mix, add green onions, cook on medium low heat til onions slightly wilt. Do not overcook, so mushrooms will remain with good texture and onions stay green.
- In a large bowl, add mushroom mixture, remove casings on boudin, crumble into mushrooms, mix well, and set aside.
- On a floured surface, roll out puff pastry until quite thin. Using a 3 inch fluted cookie cutter, cut out pastry circles. Fill with a tablespoon of stuffing, fold over, and crimp with a fork to seaI. At this point, you can freeze these little suckers before baking. I stored most in bags of a dozen or so just for convenience.
- Bake at 400 degrees on parchment covered pan until brown, about 15 to 20 minutes, depending on oven.
