There is nothing like the fall. After the heat of summer we welcome the gentle cool down. And if we’re lucky we get a wonderful Indian Summer; nature’s reminder that Summer will return again.

Fall also means the return of college football. In my household we are Ole Miss fans. My producer is a USC Trojan (that’s Southern California not South Carolina). We have ‘Bama fans for neighbors. And LSU fans for best friends. Beyond college there’s high school and of course NFL (that’s a whole different show). Whoever you support doesn’t matter to me because I love football… and I LOVE tailgating.

You are going to love this Ham Delight that I make. It’s smothered with Swiss cheese and a poppy seed butter sauce, then baked until its crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside. Oh my gosh. You will not tailgate again without it.

We also love some easy dips like Hummus and Simple Salsa… which of course scream for a fabulous chip. My take on a Pita Chips is often gone long before we get to the stadium (which also leaves us in need of another chip with which to dip.)

I promise once you try these you’re going to wait all spring and summer for Tailgating as much as you wait for football. (You could always make them during the off-season as a little reminder that football will return.)
